Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Employment Type: Full-time About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, experienced, and people-focused HR Manager to oversee and manage the company's human resources functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, staff development, HR policies, disciplinary processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws. The ideal candidate should be organized, firm but fair, highly confidential, and capable of effectively managing employees while supporting the company's business objectives.
Manage the full recruitment and selection process, including job postings, CV screening, interviews, assessments, and onboarding. Develop and maintain effective HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines. Manage employee records, contracts, attendance, leave, probation, confirmation, promotions, and other employment processes. Monitor employee performance and coordinate probation reviews, appraisals, and performance improvement plans. Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts professionally. Ensure employees comply with company policies, procedures, and standards. Identify employee training and development needs and coordinate relevant training programs. Support management in workforce planning and staffing decisions. Prepare HR reports and provide management with insights on employee performance, attendance, turnover, and other HR metrics. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information. Ensure compliance with relevant Nigerian employment and labour regulations. Promote a positive, professional, productive, and respectful workplace culture. Liaise with management and department heads on staffing, performance, disciplinary, and employee-related matters. Coordinate staff engagement activities and initiatives that improve employee motivation and retention. Stay updated on HR best practices, employment regulations, and workplace trends.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field. 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably in a managerial or supervisory HR role. Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. Good understanding of Nigerian labour laws and employment practices. Proven experience handling disciplinary procedures and employee grievances. Experience managing employee performance, probation, appraisals, and performance improvement processes. Strong documentation and record-keeping skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Experience using HR management or payroll software is an advantage.
