We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and responsible Male House Parent to join our team at Funar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the pastoral care, safety, discipline, and overall well-being of male boarders in a supportive and structured environment.
Pastoral Care & Welfare: Oversee the physical, emotional, and social well-being of male students in the boarding house. Routine & Discipline: Maintain daily boarding routines (waking up, prep / study hours, meal times, and lights out) while enforcing school rules gently and firmly. Health & Safety: Ensure the boarding house is clean, secure, and well-maintained. Monitor student health and liaise with the school clinic / medical team for any ailments. Mentorship & Support: Serve as a positive male role model, offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear to boarders. Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents, school administrators, and house staff regarding student behavior and welfare. Event & Activity Coordination: Organize and supervise extracurricular, weekend, and evening activities for boarders.
*Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of an NCE, OND, or Bachelorās Degree in Guidance & Counseling, Social Work, Education, or a related field. Prior experience working in a school boarding facility or youth care environment is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. High level of integrity, patience, empathy, and emotional maturity. Willingness to reside full-time on campus.
