Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Hygiene Officer to maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene, and environmental safety across the facility, including guest areas, event spaces, restrooms, kitchens, and other operational areas.

Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the facility. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, event spaces, restrooms, kitchens, public areas, and other facilities. Ensure cleaning staff follow approved cleaning, sanitation, and waste-management procedures. Monitor the proper handling, storage, and disposal of cleaning materials and waste. Ensure hygiene standards are maintained in food preparation and service areas. Identify hygiene risks, cleanliness gaps, pest-control concerns, and other environmental issues and report them promptly. Maintain hygiene inspection checklists, records, and reports. Ensure adequate availability of cleaning supplies, toiletries, disinfectants, and other hygiene-related materials. Support the implementation of corrective actions where hygiene or sanitation standards are not met.

Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification. 1–3 years of relevant experience in hygiene, cleaning, sanitation, hospitality, or facility management. Good knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify hygiene and cleanliness issues. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Reliable, responsible, and physically fit for the demands of the role. Previous experience in a hotel, event centre, restaurant, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
