Description
A housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in homes, hotels, or other establishments, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for occupants.
Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeepers perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including:
Cleaning and organizing rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces
Making beds, changing linens, and ensuring fresh bedding for guests or residents
Washing, ironing, and managing laundry, including treating stains and inspecting linens for cleanliness
Disposing of waste properly and maintaining cleanliness in trash and recycling areas
Handling and caring for furniture, antiques, and fine fabrics
Running errands, shopping, and assisting with kitchen tasks in some settings
Reporting safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors or homeowners
Preparing rooms for guest check-in and check-out, ensuring all supplies are stocked and rooms meet hygiene standards.
