Location:Ā NigeriaĀ - Dangote Petrochemicals (DPRP)

Reports To: Head, PPU Packing Plant Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and continuous operations. The role ensures products meet quality standards, adheres to operating procedures and HSE requirements, performs routine equipment checks, and reports any faults or abnormalities to minimize downtime and achieve production targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production machines safely and efficiently. Set up machines and adjust controls as required. Ensure products meet quality and specification standards. Conduct routine machine inspections and basic maintenance checks. Identify and report equipment faults or abnormalities promptly. Record production data and complete required documentation. Minimize downtime and support achievement of production targets. Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and work instructions. Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area. Assist with changeovers and other production activities as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

Education: Minimum of SSCEĀ / WAEC, OND, or equivalent qualification. A technical or vocational certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Operations is an added advantage.


Functional Competencies:

Machine operation and process control skills. Basic troubleshooting and fault identification. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices. Understanding of quality control and inspection procedures. Knowledge of HSE policies and safe operating practices. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and production schedules.
