Area Sales Manager (Food FMCG)

Job Summary


We are recruiting for an experienced and goal-oriented Area Sales Manager for our client to drive sales performance, distribution, and brand visibility for a leading Food FMCG company in Sokoto.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the Northern market and proven success managing teams and achieving targets in the FMCG space.


Key Responsibilities


Drive sales targets and ensure consistent performance across assigned territory
Supervise and support field sales representatives
Develop effective route-to-market strategies
Identify and onboard new distributors and monitor their performance
Maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors
Ensure availability and visibility of products in the market
Conduct regular market visits to gather intelligence and ensure compliance
Analyze sales trends, forecasts, and prepare timely reports
Train and motivate sales team members for optimum performance
Ensure adherence to company pricing and credit policies.


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in sales (preferably in Food FMCG)
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience managing a sales team within a designated territory
Strong knowledge of the Northern market, especially Sokoto and its environs
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.


Salary

N350,000 - N400,000 (Net) monthly.
