To Operate and Control Mixing activities of production processes in Finishing Plant

Principal Accountabilities

Any requirement for organizing & planning including own work and the allocation of resources Typical decisions made and if they are advisory or directly responsible for the outcome To work with the Shift supervisor continually to improve plant performance while adhering to legislative and company standards. To work closely as a team with other shift-based leaders to prioritise shift activity and deliver plant targets Monitors Business Unit area performance through Short Interval Control; daily and weekly OEE tracker, identification of the 3 top losses and facilitate review of same. Facilitate effective problem solving through agreed Lean Manufacturing techniques and generate Containments and Counter measures. Good knowledge of how to identify areas for improvement (Process, skills, knowledge, attitude, machine etc) To work with the production manager continually to improve plant performance while adhering to legislative and company standards To work with the maintenance manager doing LLF and PPM to continually improve machine availability Elimination/Reduction of downtime due to machine break down Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Return on Investment Customer Satisfaction Turn Around Time Strategic Alliances with different institutions Responsible for tending equipment such as mixer, weigher and conveyors to move materials through production processes. Read batch cards to determine production information and specifications. Start machine to mix materials and allowing them to mix for a specified time. Stop mixing machine when specified product qualities are obtained, and open valves to transfer mixtures. Examine materials and products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards. Ensure compliance to all Business Unit SOP’s and SOC’s (Standard Operating Conditions) and that all operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), all safety standards and provisions. Clean and maintain equipment and other housekeeping activities. Record operational and production data on specified forms. Performing other tasks and activities as could be delegated by his supervisor. Ensure investigation and correction of deviations in process behaviour. Escalate issues to get prompt attention whenever necessary. Understands roles and responsibilities and the importance of conformity with the EMS requirements. Implements and complies with EMS requirements relating to environmental aspects and impacts and other policies, procedures and/or regulations applicable to assigned jobs. To work with other staff continually to improve performance while adhering to legislative and company standards. To work closely as a team with the Line Manager and other leaders as to deliver set objectives

Quality And Plan Compliance Delivery - GMP:

Ensure that manufacturing operation meets stipulated GMP

To have a good knowledge of GMP requirements and application on site in line with GMP standard (PZC GMP standard/NAFDAC requirements)

Quality Management System (QMS) Objectives: (QMS):

To ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and improve on the system.

Required Qualifications

ND / NABTEB in Engineering Related Discipline Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar position Sound Knowledge of Engineering Practices Software Knowledge Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Ability to withstand stress and work under pressure.
