Ā Job Title:Ā Inventory Officer

Location: Deidei, Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time Description

We are seeking a smart, highly organised, honest and detail-oriented female Inventory Officer to manage and control the company's materials, supplies, finished products, tools, equipment and inventory records. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every item received, issued, transferred, returned, damaged or remaining in stock is properly documented and accounted for.


Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Control:

Maintain accurate records of all company inventory. Record all materials and products received. Record every item issued to production, projects, departments or sites. Ensure no material leaves the store without proper authorisation and documentation. Maintain accurate opening and closing stock balances. Conduct regular physical stock counts. Reconcile physical stock with inventory records. Immediately investigate and report stock discrepancies. Monitor minimum stock levels and raise timely reorder alerts. Maintain proper labelling and organisation of inventory.


Material Receiving & Issuance:

Receive and verify materials supplied by vendors. Confirm quantities against purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes. Inspect materials for shortages, damage or incorrect specifications. Record received materials immediately. Issue materials strictly against approved production requests/job cards. Record who collected each material, quantity issued and the job/project for which it was issued. Track unused materials returned from production or project sites.


Factory & Project Inventory:

Track materials used for individual production jobs. Maintain records of materials dispatched to project sites. Reconcile materials issued against materials returned or consumed. Monitor unusual or excessive material requests. Report wastage, loss, damage or unauthorised material movement immediately.


Finished products & Showroom Stock:

Maintain records of finished furniture in the showroom, factory and storage areas. Record furniture transferred between factory, showroom, project sites and customers. Update inventory when products are sold, delivered, transferred or returned. Participate in regular showroom and factory stock counts.


Tools & Equipment:

Maintain an accurate register of company tools and equipment. Record tools issued to staff. Ensure staff acknowledge receipt of tools. Track the return of tools and equipment. Report missing or damaged tools immediately.


Reporting:

The Inventory Officer will prepare and maintain: Daily Stock Movement Records Material Receiving Reports Material Issuance Records Job-Card Material Records Material Return Records Stock Transfer Records Damaged Material Reports Low-Stock Alerts Weekly Inventory Reports Monthly Stock Reconciliation Stock Variance Reports Tools & Equipment Register


Key Performance Indicators

Inventory Accuracy Material Traceability Stock Reconciliation Documentation Accuracy Material Loss Reduction Waste Control Stock Availability Store Organisation Tool Accountability Timely Reporting SOP Compliance


Requirements

Minimum qualification: OND / HND / B.Sc Degree Qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics or related discipline is an advantage. Previous inventory, storekeeping, warehouse or stock-control experience is an advantage. Good numerical ability. Strong attention to detail. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets. Ability to use inventory software is an advantage. Excellent record-keeping ability. Honest, accountable and highly organised. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Good written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable working within a furniture production/factory environment.
