Facility Officer

Key Responsibilities


Ensure the School’s facilities management practices are in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
Conduct routine inspection of all facilities and infrastructure to ascertain their state and working conditions.
Oversee the coordination of the activities of maintenance staff (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.)
Ensure timely and adequate repairs and maintenance of all faulty equipment and facilities.
Supervise the execution of all routine maintenance, renovations, refurbishment, and building projects.
Maintain a continuous supply of all utility services, in particular, electricity generation and adequate water supply to the School.
Manage energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Liaise with the Procurement and Stores Management function to ensure required items are sourced and procured promptly.
Planning for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and Requirements.
Prepare a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and adhere strictly to the schedule
Proactively initiate and maintain good relationships with all utility vendors
Ensure that all staff adhere to the school’s policies regarding the use of its facilities.


Qualifications & Experience


Interested candidates should possess an HND / NCE / OND / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field.
Minimum of 2 - 5 years relevant experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of staff, guests, and vendors
Excellent people skills
Outstanding organisational skills.
Availability to work extended hours on occasion.
