Location: Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our team in Ibeju-Lekki. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and detailed plans in line with engineering specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in CAD software, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with engineers, project teams, and other technical stakeholders.

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, plans, and schematics based on engineering designs and specifications. Develop and modify drawings using AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software. Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, specifications, and technical documentation. Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, properly dimensioned, and compliant with approved design standards. Revise drawings based on engineering changes, site conditions, and project requirements. Produce fabrication, assembly, installation, and construction drawings where required. Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, revision histories, and file management. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, production teams, and other technical personnel to develop practical and accurate designs. Conduct site visits and measurements where necessary to support the preparation and modification of drawings. Ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions and approved technical requirements. Assist engineers and project teams with design documentation and technical drawing requirements. Review drawings for errors, inconsistencies, missing dimensions, and other technical issues before submission. Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper control of technical and engineering documents. Support the preparation of as-built drawings and other project documentation. Ensure compliance with company procedures, engineering standards, health and safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

OND, HND, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualification in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 2 – 6 years of relevant experience as a Draughtsman, CAD Draughtsman, Design Draughtsman, or in a similar technical role. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, or similar tools will be an added advantage. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, scales, symbols, and technical drawing standards. Experience preparing drawings for fabrication, structural, mechanical, civil, or industrial projects will be an advantage. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of engineering and construction processes. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
