Job Title: FO Project Manager
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for our fiber optics service business, aligned with company objectives and market trends. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory agencies. Oversee all aspects of fiber optics service operations, including planning, design, deployment, and maintenance of fiber optic networks. Lead a team of fiber optics engineers, technicians, and project managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure operational excellence Monitor and optimize service delivery processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Implement best practices, standards, and quality assurance protocols to ensure the reliability and performance of fiber optic networks. Provide leadership for developing and implementing network projects, rollout and deployment of service infrastructure in line with the business requirements to meet the short, medium- and long-term operational requirements. Roll out of agreed network infrastructure projects. Implement and monitor timely delivery and report of multiple contractors and vendors. Evaluate project requirements and coordinate resources according to project plan. Track and monitor project budget and ensure spending remains within limit. Build and maintain an empowered & engaged workforce. Identify, evaluate and track the developmental needs and performance of staff within the department, provide opportunities for development.
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
First Degree in Electrical, Communication Engineering or related field. Certified Project Manager (PMP or PRINCE2). Experience and Knowledge in Fiber Optic Technology. Technical Site survey. Skilled in Fiber optic cable Installation. Installation of new cable lines both underground and overhead. Skill in using of optical fiber test equipment and tools for installation and fault location. Advance Network Operations & Commissioning knowledge. Contract Management and Negotiation. Stakeholder Relations Management. Good knowledge of GIS Planning tools.
At least 10 to 15 years of fiber Management experience; managing large, highly-complex, OSP / ISP FTTH projects.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to keep strict confidentiality.
