The Lead, Operations Planning and Control will lead the planning, project controls, resource coordination, mobilisation governance, and operational reporting activities across the Operations function to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, resources are optimally utilized, customer commitments are met, and operational performance remains visible, measurable, and controlled. The role serves as the central coordination and governance point between Commercial & Tendering, Project Delivery, vendors, and support functions. This role owns planning, controls, governance, resource visibility, mobilisation readiness, and operational performance management across the Operations portfolio.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Operations Planning & Controls function, ensuring effective delivery of planning, project controls, mobilisation, reporting, and governance services across the Operations portfolio. Direct workforce planning, resource allocation, capacity management, and deployment activities to ensure optimal utilization of people, equipment, and operational resources. Oversee project planning, scheduling, performance monitoring, and project controls to ensure projects are executed in line with agreed timelines, budgets, and operational objectives. Manage mobilisation, demobilisation, logistics, personnel readiness, contractor coordination, and operational readiness activities to support efficient project delivery. Lead vendor, contractor, and OEM coordination activities, ensuring services, resources, and operational support requirements are delivered effectively and in accordance with business needs. Establish and maintain operational performance management frameworks, including KPI reporting, dashboard management, forecasting, and portfolio performance reporting. Provide operational governance through stakeholder engagement, performance reviews, risk identification, issue escalation, and decision-support reporting to Operations leadership. Oversee project close-out, invoice readiness, lessons learned, documentation management, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operational effectiveness and revenue realization.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in project planning, project controls, PMO, operations management, or project delivery environments. Minimum of 3 years in a people management or team leadership role. Proven experience managing project planning, scheduling, resource management, mobilisation, reporting, and operational governance activities. Experience working within engineering, technical services, industrial, energy, oil & gas, or project-based organizations. Experience managing vendors, contractors, logistics, and operational readiness activities. Demonstrated experience developing operational dashboards, KPI reporting frameworks, and management reports.
