Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Operations Manager Job Summary

The Hotel Maintenance Personnel is responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in excellent working condition. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and responding promptly to maintenance requests to ensure guest comfort, safety, and operational efficiency.

Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in guest rooms and common areas. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Repair and maintain furniture, fixtures, doors, windows, locks, and other hotel property. Monitor and maintain water, power, air conditioning, and generator systems. Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and hotel standards. Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Assist with renovations, installations, and facility improvement projects. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when necessary. Report major maintenance issues and equipment failures to management.

Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum of SSCE, OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facility maintenance, or a similar role is an advantage. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
