Department: Strategy, Impact and Business Development About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer to join our Strategy, Impact and Business Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Company's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) system to support evidence-based decision-making, performance measurement, impact assessment, and continuous organizational improvement.
Design and implement the Company's MEL framework and performance measurement systems. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across departments and projects. Conduct monitoring visits to processing plants, procurement hubs, warehouses, project sites, and farming communities. Collect, validate, analyses, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance and impact reports. Develop dashboards, scorecards, and management reports. Coordinate baseline, midline, and end-line assessments. Support organizational research, impact studies, and programmed evaluations. Monitor social, environmental, and business performance indicators. Ensure data quality, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies. Work collaboratively with Operations, Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, HR, and Business Development teams. Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations.
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. A Master's degree will be an added advantage. Professional certification in Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage.
Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, manufacturing, development projects, or social enterprises is highly desirable. Experience working with donor-funded programmes is an added advantage. Experience using digital data collection platforms will be an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Experience with Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of SPSS, STATA, R, or similar statistical software. Experience using SurveyCTO, KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar data collection tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information.
