Industry: Cashew Processing / Agro-Allied Manufacturing Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shelling Mechanic to join our production team in Ibafo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of shelling machines and other mechanical equipment used in a cashew processing plant. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with shelling or similar processing machinery.

Minimum of an OND, Technical Certificate, or Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. 2–7 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanic, preferably within a Cashew Processing Plant or Agro-Allied/Food Processing Industry. Proven experience maintaining and repairing shelling machines or similar processing machinery. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machine components, tools, and maintenance practices. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults and resolve machine breakdowns effectively. Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance. Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to machine breakdowns. Good attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work effectively with production and maintenance teams.

Candidates with direct experience working on shelling machines in a cashew processing plant will be strongly preferred. Experience with other agricultural or food-processing machinery may also be considered where the candidate demonstrates strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
