We have 60 luxurious rooms with in-room tea/coffee-making facilities and turn-down packages. Protea Hotel Lagos Kuramo Waters facilities include complimentary Wi-Fi access, a gym, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a bar and other commendable amenities. We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

 Job Title: Housekeeper

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time Job Purpose

To maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and designated hotel areas in accordance with the hotel's standards, ensuring a clean, comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for guests.

Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas according to hotel standards. Make beds, change bed linens, towels, and other room amenities as required. Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize all surfaces and floors. Clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, and other fixtures. Replenish guest room amenities and supplies.

Ensure all assigned rooms are properly cleaned and presented before being released for sale. Report maintenance defects, damages, missing items, or unusual conditions immediately to the Supervisor. Report lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures. Ensure rooms are secured properly after cleaning.

Maintain cleanliness of assigned public areas, including corridors, staircases, elevators, back-of-house areas, and other designated spaces. Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly handled and stored.

Respond politely and professionally to guest requests relating to housekeeping. Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. Demonstrate a courteous, helpful, and service-oriented attitude toward guests and colleagues.

Health, Safety & Hygiene:

Follow all hotel health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and safely. Wear the prescribed uniform and maintain proper personal grooming at all times. Immediately report accidents, hazards, spills, or unsafe conditions.

Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and departmental policies. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and attention to detail. Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining quality standards. Ensure adequate stock of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials in the assigned work area.

Work closely with Housekeeping Supervisors, Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations. Attend departmental briefings, meetings, and training sessions as required. Communicate room status and relevant guest or maintenance issues promptly.
