Field Credit Officer (Ekiti State)

Job Purpose


As a field credit officer, your primary responsibility will be to onboard and manage businesses seeking access to our credit products. Your task will involve expanding the loan portfolio while maintaining profitability by ensuring timely loan repayments. Consequently, you will play a crucial role in evaluating these businesses during their credit application process and utilize innovative tools we have developed to assist you in monitoring their performance throughout the loan duration.
You will also be tasked with drawing conclusions from various information sources related to the 5Cs of credit, with a focus on capacity, character, and capital as key priorities. You will be expected to make recommendations to management before, during, and after loan disbursement regarding the most appropriate actions to take, considering various economic factors.


Job Responsibilities


Locate and onboard viable businesses within your designated geographical area to establish business accounts with Moniepoint
Interact with customers to ensure optimal account usage, enabling them to qualify for credit access
Evaluate and approve (or reject) loan requests through comprehensive analysis of all available data
Conduct on-site visits to potential borrowers' business locations to assess business records, considering inventory and turnover
Achieve gross loan portfolio targets and portfolio profit objectives by maintaining a healthy number of loan customers while ensuring all loans in the portfolio are performing
Oversee active loan portfolio to ensure continued use of business accounts and monitor loan repayment performance
Execute all other credit-related functions as assigned by a supervisor


Qualifications


At least an OND in any business-related discipline
Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales role for credit products within a financial institution
Proven knowledge of credit risk analysis
Solid understanding of financial analysis is considered an advantage
Must be based in Ekiti
