Job Title: Documentary Video Editor Jobboard subscription

Employment Type: Contract About the Role

We are looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our travel documentary production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to transform raw footage into compelling, cinematic content that captures the essence of destinations, cultures, and people. You will work closely with our production and creative team to edit travel documentaries, short-form content, promotional videos, and other visual projects.

Edit and assemble raw video footage into engaging documentary content. Create compelling narratives through pacing, sequencing, music, sound design, and visual storytelling. Perform color correction and grading to achieve a consistent cinematic look. Add appropriate sound effects, music, graphics, titles, subtitles, and transitions. Organize and manage video files, footage, and project assets efficiently. Collaborate with directors, producers, and the creative team to understand and execute the vision. Review edits and make revisions based on creative feedback. Deliver high-quality videos within agreed deadlines and technical specifications. Stay up to date with current video-editing techniques, trends, and storytelling styles.

Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in documentary, travel, film, media, or related content. Strong knowledge of professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro. Good understanding of color grading, sound editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling. Strong attention to detail and excellent sense of timing and pacing. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a creative environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work.
