The Content & Editorial Lead will lead the planning, development, editing and publication of high-quality digital content for Dangote Group. The role will translate the Group's business priorities, corporate messages and stakeholder interests into compelling, accurate and consistent stories across websites, social media, WhatsApp channels and other digital platforms. 

Develop and execute the Group's digital content strategy and editorial planning. Provide editorial leadership for digital campaigns and real-time  communications support. Establish content governance frameworks and quality standards. Lead corporate storytelling and copy development initiatives. Drive executive visibility across appropriate digital platforms. Oversee performance measurement, reporting, and analytics by preparing periodic editorial reports covering delivery against plan, content performance, pipeline status, quality risks and recommended actions. Coordinate cross-functional communications initiatives across business units. Lead digital crisis communications and rapid response efforts. Manage budgets, vendors, agencies, and digital technology partners. Build team capability and ensure continuous improvement in digital communications practices

Key Requirements

Education and Work Experience: SearchLocal Jobs

Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media or a related discipline. A relevant master's Degree or professional certification is an advantage. Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in editorial management, corporate communications, journalism, digital content or brand storytelling, including experience coordinating multi-channel content. Demonstrable portfolio of high-quality corporate, editorial and digital writing. Experience working in a large, diversified organisation, reputable media organisation or communications agency is desirable.

Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling capability. Strong editorial judgement, fact-checking discipline and attention to detail. Content strategy, editorial calendar management and publishing workflow coordination. Ability to translate complex business information into clear audience-appropriate content. Working knowledge of content management systems, social publishing tools, SEO principles and web analytics. Understanding of corporate reputation, crisis communications and executive communications. Strong stakeholder management, briefing and approval coordination skills. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and collaborative workflow tools.
