Job Description
We are seeking a competent, proactive, and results-driven Vendor Manager to oversee vendor relationships, procurement activities, and supplier performance within our organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that vendors deliver quality products and services at competitive prices, while maintaining transparency, accountability, and compliance with company policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, select, and manage vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service agreements.
Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Review and verify vendor quotations, invoices, and bills for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain an updated database of approved vendors and suppliers.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with vendors.
Monitor procurement processes and ensure adherence to company policies.
Resolve vendor-related disputes, delivery issues, and service complaints.
Conduct periodic vendor assessments and recommend improvements.
Prepare vendor management and procurement reports for management.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
Good knowledge of procurement procedures, contract management, and vendor evaluation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement management tools.
