 Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Lagos

Reports To: Process Engineering Manager Description

The Process Engineer will drive safe and efficient process operations by analysing plant performance, identifying process constraints, improving production capacity, reducing operational losses, and delivering practical engineering solutions that enhance overall plant performance.

Evaluate process performance and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and production losses. Develop and implement process improvements to increase capacity and efficiency. Investigate process deviations and provide effective engineering solutions. Support plant operations, commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities. Perform process calculations, simulations, and technical assessments. Monitor critical process parameters and recommend corrective actions. Support process safety studies, including HAZOP and HAZID. Prepare technical reports, operating procedures, and process documentation. Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to improve plant reliability and performance.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

B.Sc./B.Eng. in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering field. 3–7 years of relevant process engineering experience. Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or industrial processing environment. Strong knowledge of process optimisation, plant operations, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar process simulation software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. COREN registration and HAZOP/HAZID or Process Safety certification will be an added advantage.
