We are seeking to hire a highly experienced, result-oriented, and safety-conscious Loading Supervisor to oversee loading and dispatch operations within our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the loading of finished products, coordinating loading personnel, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining efficient and safe dispatch operations.


About the Role

The Loading Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily loading and dispatch activities, ensuring finished products are loaded accurately, safely, and efficiently. The role requires close coordination with the Warehouse, Production, Logistics, Security, Quality Control, and Transport teams to ensure timely dispatch of products and effective utilization of manpower and loading equipment. The ideal candidate should have practical experience working in amanufacturing environment, particularly within a dispatch, warehouse, loading, or finished-goods section.


Key Responsibilities

Loading & Dispatch Operations

Supervise daily loading and dispatch operations for finished products. Coordinate the loading of products onto trucks and other delivery vehicles. Ensure products are loaded according to approved quantities, delivery instructions, and loading procedures. Verify product quantities and loading documentation before vehicles leave the facility. Monitor loading activities to minimize delays, product damage, and loading errors. Ensure trucks are properly positioned and safely loaded before dispatch. Coordinate with the dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of products for loading. Monitor daily loading volumes, truck turnaround time, and dispatch performance. Ensure proper housekeeping and organization within the loading and dispatch areas.


Team & Manpower Management:

Supervise loaders, dispatch assistants, and other personnel assigned to the loading section. Allocate manpower according to daily loading requirements. Monitor staff attendance, productivity, discipline, and adherence to operational procedures. Train and guide loading personnel on safe and efficient loading practices. Ensure adequate manpower is available to meet daily dispatch targets.


Equipment & Resource Management:

Ensure loading equipment and tools are used properly and efficiently. Coordinate with the maintenance team regarding breakdowns or defects involving loading equipment. Monitor the availability and proper use of pallets, packaging materials, loading accessories, and other operational resources. Minimize product losses, damages, and wastage during loading operations.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

Enforce strict compliance with company HSE policies and safe loading procedures. Ensure all loading personnel use the required PPE at all times. Conduct regular checks of the loading area to identify and address unsafe conditions. Ensure safe vehicle movement and loading practices within the dispatch area. Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices promptly. Promote a strong safety culture within the loading and dispatch team.

Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate effectively with Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Quality Control, Security, and Transport departments. Prepare daily loading and dispatch reports. Monitor and report truck turnaround time, loading quantities, delays, damages, and operational challenges. Maintain accurate loading records and supporting documentation. Escalate operational issues affecting dispatch performance to management. Assist in resolving customer, transporter, and internal dispatch-related issues.

Qualifications & Experience


Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.


Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, or warehouse environment. At least 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a loading, dispatch, warehouse, or finished-goods section. Proven experience supervising the loading and dispatch of finished products. Experience coordinating loading teams, truck movements, and dispatch activities. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.


Candidate Requirements:

Must be willing to work at Sabon Wuse, Niger State. Strong leadership, communication, and team-management.
