Employment Type: Full-time About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations and ensure the preparation of high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. The ideal candidate will be organized, team-oriented, and committed to delivering an excellent dining experience for our guests.

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards. Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning food items. Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and food preparation areas. Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Monitor stock levels and notify management of inventory shortages. Properly store food items and ensure minimal wastage. Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries. Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations after use. Support the Head Chef and kitchen team with daily operations and special events. Contribute ideas for menu improvements and new dishes where applicable.

Minimum of National Diploma (ND) in Hospitality Management, Catering, Food Science, or a related field. 1–2 years' experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Cook, or Chef in a restaurant, café, or hospitality establishment. Good understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. Culinary certification is an added advantage.
