Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Production Superintendent with a strong background in plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding and blow molding.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.


Key Responsibilities


Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of production lines, particularly those involving injection and blow molding machines.
Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and optimizing machine efficiency.
Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and work with maintenance teams to reduce unplanned downtime.
Oversee staffing, training, and development of production personnel; ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to support process improvements and resolve technical issues.
Track production metrics such as cycle time, scrap rate, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness); prepare and present regular performance reports.
Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and shift reports.
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or process-related issues.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all shifts.


Qualifications


Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience (5+ years) in a supervisory role within a plastic manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of injection molding and blow molding equipment and processes.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Working knowledge of production planning, manufacturing KPIs, and quality systems (e.g., ISO standards).
Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.


Work Environment:


Manufacturing floor with exposure to moderate noise, machinery, and plastic resins.
Rotating shifts or weekend work may be required based on production demands.
