Baker

Role Description


Produce all baked goods, pastries, and desserts for the bakery
Contribute to the development and enhancement of recipes
Utilize mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to accurately measure and combine ingredients for baked products.
Create frostings to be used in the bakery
Coordinate with the store keeper to document all raw materials used in the kitchen and stored in the freezer
Examine ingredients and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Receive client information from the administrative officer and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of specifications.
Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and ensure all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next order.
Supervise and guide the assistant baker's activities to maintain product quality standards.
Evaluate the quality of raw materials before baking.
Conduct research to develop original recipes.
Ensure proper handling and storage of baking utensils and equipment.
Monitor profitability by maintaining current records of baking operations.


Qualifications


Minimum educational requirement is OND.
At least 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Possesses strong communication skills, demonstrates creativity, has excellent listening abilities, and pays attention to detail.
Hardworking, intelligent, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment, with basic numeracy skills and excellent time management abilities.
Must reside in close proximity to the bakery in Bodija, Ibadan.
