To drive supply chain operational excellence, systems optimization, digital transformation, data governance, performance management, and continuous improvement across planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain operations. The role ensures that supply chain processes, systems, and performance frameworks support world-class operational efficiency, asset reliability, inventory optimization, and business objectives.  This position does not have procurement or sourcing responsibilities and focuses exclusively on supply chain planning, inventory, logistics, warehousing, systems, analytics, and process excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Supply Chain Excellence & Continuous Improvement  Develop and implement excellence supply chain frameworks.  Standardize end-to-end supply chain processes and operating procedures.  Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.  Conduct process mapping and business process reengineering exercises.  Drive operational efficiency across inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations.  Benchmark supply chain performance against global refining and petrochemical best practices. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

Serve as Business Process Owner for supply chain systems. Drive SAP and supply chain system optimization initiatives. Lead digital transformation projects across supply chain operations. Ensure seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA  Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Transportation Management Systems (TMS)  Planning Systems  Analytics Platforms  Maintenance Systems Identify automation opportunities and reduce manual processes.  Lead implementation of supply chain control towers and real-time visibility tools.  Promote adoption of AI-enabled planning and inventory management solutions.

Develop and maintain supply chain performance dashboards.  Establish KPI governance frameworks.  Monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.  Produce executive-level performance reports.  Conduct trend analysis and predictive performance assessments.  Support management decision-making through analytics and insights.

Develop inventory optimization strategies.  Drive reduction of excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.  Optimize inventory parameters including:  Safety Stock  Reorder Levels  Min-Max Settings  Critical Spare Parts Strategies  Improve inventory visibility and material availability Support refinery and petrochemical reliability objectives through effective inventory management Monitor inventory health and working capital performance

Establish warehouse operational standards.  Improve warehouse productivity and space utilization.  Enhance inventory accuracy and transaction discipline.  Drive warehouse digitization initiatives.  Monitor warehouse performance and service levels.  Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Monitor logistics and transportation performance.  Optimize inbound and outbound material flows.  Improve logistics service levels and efficiency.  Support port logistics and terminal operations performance.  Establish logistics performance measurement systems.  Identify opportunities for logistics cost and efficiency improvements. 

Establish governance standards for: 

Material Master Data  Inventory Data  Warehouse Data  Logistics Data  Planning Data  Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.  Lead master data cleansing and harmonization programs.  Implement data quality controls and audits.

Governance, Risk & Compliance: 

Ensure compliance with supply chain policies and procedures.  Support internal and external audits.  Ensure adherence to corporate governance requirements.  Drive continuous improvement in supply chain controls.

Develop supply chain excellence capabilities across teams.  Deliver training on systems, analytics, and best practices.  Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.  Coach teams on process discipline and data-driven decision-making

Key Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in: 

Engineering  Supply Chain Management  Logistics  Industrial Engineering  Operations Management  Business Administration 

7–10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management or heavy manufacturingProfessional certification (CIPS, CPSM, etc.) is an advantage  Master's Degree/MBA – added advantage.  Professional certification (Lean Six Sigma, CIPS, APICS, CILSCM etc.) is an advantage  Experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously without loss of quality  Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent) and CMMS platforms at a user level Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite — advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills are essential  Knowledge of data management, report generation and basic data analysis using Excel or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
