Location: Maiduguri, Borno

Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Stores Officer to manage the receipt, storage, documentation, issuance and control of inventory and materials. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory records, proper stock management, timely reconciliation and compliance with established stores procedures.

Receive and inspect incoming goods, materials, spare parts and equipment. Verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders and delivery documents. Ensure proper documentation of received inventory. Maintain systematic storage, labelling and coding of stock. Issue materials only against properly authorised requests. Maintain accurate stock and inventory records. Conduct physical stock counts and cycle counts. Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate variances. Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, obsolete and excess inventory. Maintain bin cards, stock cards, inventory registers and stores documentation. Prepare periodic inventory and stores reports. Track stock transfers, damaged items, obsolete stock and company assets. Support internal and external audits.

Bachelor's Degree, HND or relevant qualification. 2–4 years' experience in stores, warehouse or inventory control. Experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, automotive, power solutions or trading environments is an advantage. Experience using an ERP, inventory management or warehouse management system is desirable. Good numerical, organisational and record-keeping skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
