Position Overview


Accountable for efficient daily shift production activities to ensure optimized operations.
The primary responsibilities of this role include overseeing the Production process, prioritizing and assigning proactive and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining quality product output.
The position also involves tasks such as repairing, day planning, procuring necessary production materials, managing spare parts inventory for rolls, sifters, purifiers, and other milling equipment.
This is a shift people management role that requires overseeing hands-on training for new and existing millers, ensuring best practice implementation, and conducting work quality checks. A keen understanding of costs and business acumen to ensure profitability is crucial for the


Essential Deliverables


Lockout tagout
Work permit
Documentation, recording, and review
Bi-Monthly safety audit compliance
Workplace inspection and risk assessment
Enforcing safety rules
Complete 100% adherence to agreed production targets and production specifications
Upholding Team discipline in all aspects along the lines
Regularly Train and retrain the Shift production team to ensure that lines are maintained in optimal condition


Operational Efficiency

SAFETY AND HEALTH


Promote safety during Shift production operations
Foster safety culture during Shift production operations
Ensure elimination of unsafe acts, conditions, and near miss reporting (Safe Olam Reporting)
Enforce strict compliance during shift toolbox talks
Ensure strict PPE Compliance during Shift production operations
Ensure adherence to 6 imperatives of safety.


QUALITY


Ensure agreed quality behaviors amongst the Shift production team
Adherence to line settings during Shift
Adherence to GMP during Shift
Adherence to line clearance during Shift
Ensure all the Shift processes are executed correctly the first time.


COST EFFICIENCY


Maintain Shift equipment effectiveness
Achieve Shift production target and product specification
Ensure and encourage Autonomous Maintenance during Shift
Maintain good rapport with Maintenance Team to achieve acceptable OEE.
Track and ensure all milling activities such as grinding, extraction, etc that yield the best production during shift.

Hands-on experience with extraction process, wenger machine will be an added advantage
