 Job Title: Security Guard

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time Job Description

To protect the company’s employees, property, assets, and premises by maintaining a safe and secure environment, preventing unauthorized access, monitoring activities, and responding appropriately to security incidents.

Monitor and control access to the company’s premises, including employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles. Verify identification and ensure only authorized persons gain access to restricted areas. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify security risks, suspicious activities, hazards, or breaches. Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, gates, and other security systems where applicable. Maintain accurate records of visitors, vehicles, incidents, and daily security activities. Report suspicious behavior, theft, damage, safety hazards, or unauthorized access immediately to the appropriate supervisor. Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms. Enforce company security procedures, rules, and access-control policies. Safeguard company property, equipment, documents, and other assets. Assist employees and visitors with security-related enquiries while maintaining a professional and courteous attitude. Support emergency procedures, including evacuation, fire incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations. Prepare and submit incident reports and shift handover reports when required. Maintain discipline, alertness, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times. Perform other security-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of a secondary school certificate or equivalent. Previous experience in security, safety. Good observation and communication skills. Physically fit and able to remain alert for extended periods. Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and security protocols. Honest, reliable, disciplined, and trustworthy. Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or difficult situations. Basic report-writing and record-keeping skills.
