Slum and Rural  Health Initiative is a nonprofit organization that started operations in 2017 and is officially registered in Nigeria, Ethiopia, and the Gambia It improves access to healthcare information and services in Africa, especially in vulnerable and underserved communities using the tools of advocacy, research, and technology. We are a ‘multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals,  social scientists information technology experts, researchers, graphic designers, and social entrepreneurs who are passionate about changing the sad narrative of healthcare information and service delivery in Nigeria, Ethiopia, and other parts of Africa. Role Overview

Lead and support high-quality research on health and social issues affecting slum and rural communities, contributing to SRHIN's research output, publications, and evidence-based programming.

Design and lead independent and collaborative research studies Analyse quantitative and/or qualitative data and produce peer-reviewed publications Support grant writing and research funding applications Mentor research assistants and junior researchers Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings Contribute to the translation of research findings into policy and programme recommendations

Required Qualifications & Experience

PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field Demonstrated research and publication track record Strong quantitative/qualitative research and analytical skills Experience with research in low-resource, slum, or rural settings is an advantage Excellent academic writing and communication skills.
