Job Overview

The position involves managing the daily operations of the plant in the country, overseeing all functions including production, processing, quality, Engineering & Projects, and QEHS. Specific Knowledge Required: Familiarity with Food Safety Management systems / HACCP/FSSC / BRC / ISO 14000 and experience in managing Industrial relations is essential for this role.

Primary Responsibilities


Manufacture and Deliver products - Oversee production activities and services : Conduct daily reviews of shop floor operations to ensure adherence to Quality systems & standards. Guide and assist with process/system related issues. Facilitate Preventive Maintenance schedule for Plant & Machinery and associated Engineering activities.
Manufacture & deliver products – Optimize production costs: Compile variances, analyze to identify root causes and develop action plans accordingly. Manage line OEEs, wastage, and conversion costs through effective monitoring, review & control.
QEHS: Spearhead QEHS initiatives and collaborate with the Central Quality Head to achieve goals. Implement sustainable systems to maintain improvements.
Engineering & Projects: Implement best practices in Plant maintenance to improve OEE. Control Maintenance & repairs costs within budgeted levels. Ensure Projects are delivered within Scope, Cost & Time constraints.
Cost efficiency Programs: Lead Cost efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities, establish baselines and execute projects with cross-functional teams.
Manage Industrial relations: Actively participate & lead IR discussions. Negotiate with various Unions, maintain Industrial discipline and consistently improve labor productivity.
Budget and Budgetary control: Develop and implement effective budgets for Labor, energy, materials, maintenance & other Plant overheads


Qualifications


Candidate with extensive experience in Plant management / Project activities, strong background in team management.
Minimum 15-20 Years of work experience in a Leading FMCG Company, with an engineering degree from a reputable institution
