 Job Title: Electrical Diagnostic Technician

Locations: Lagos & Ogun Key Responsibilities

Diagnose electrical and electronic faults in vehicles and equipment. Use diagnostic scanners, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to identify faults. Inspect and repair wiring systems, connectors, fuses, relays, switches, and electrical components. Diagnose faults in engine management systems, charging systems, starting systems, lighting, and other electronic control systems. Repair and replace faulty electrical and electronic components. Interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic reports. Perform electrical system inspections as part of preventive maintenance. Conduct battery, alternator, and starter motor testing and repairs. Diagnose and repair faults related to sensors, actuators, and electronic control units (ECUs). Carry out electrical repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Document faults identified, repairs carried out, and parts replaced. Work closely with mechanics and other workshop technicians to resolve complex vehicle faults. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of diagnostic tools and equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area. Report recurring electrical faults and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications and Requirements

OND, HND, Trade Test, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electrical Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience in automotive or heavy-duty truck electrical diagnostics. Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals. Proficiency in using diagnostic scanners and electrical testing equipment. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of health, safety, and workshop procedures.
