Ā Job Title:Ā Medical Physicist / RSO (Radiation Safety Officer)
Location: Kano Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain radiation safety policies, procedures and protocols Perform radiation safety risk assessments and audits Perform radiation safety training and education for staff and patients Liaise with Dosimetry service providers (DSP) for staff personnel dosimetry monitoring Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and national standards (e.g. NNRA, NCRP, IAEA, etc.) Investigate radiation incidents and implement corrective actions Maintain accurate documentation and records of radiation safety activities.
M.ScĀ Degree in Medical Physics and its equivalent Registration with the Nigeria Association of Medical Physicists (NAMP) as Full Membership Additional Qualification in Radiation Safety (RSO) course Experience in Radiation Oncology Physics is highly desirable Minimum of 4 years clinical experience including 2 years RSO experience will be an added advantage.
