 Job Title: Forklift Officer

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Kano

Employment Type: Full-time About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment within our client’s facility. The ideal candidate will ensure safe movement, loading, unloading, and proper storage of goods and materials while following all workplace safety procedures.

Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and arrange materials and goods. Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or facility. Load and unload trucks while ensuring goods are handled carefully. Stack and store products safely and efficiently. Inspect the forklift before and after each shift and report any faults or maintenance needs. Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and operating procedures. Ensure materials are properly secured before transportation. Maintain accurate records of materials moved, received, or dispatched where required. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards. Assist warehouse and logistics teams with general material-handling activities. Report damaged goods, equipment issues, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of the forklift as required. Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent. Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift operating license/certification is an added advantage. Good knowledge of forklift operations and workplace safety procedures. Ability to safely handle and transport heavy materials. Physically fit and able to work in a warehouse or industrial environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision. High level of responsibility, alertness, and attention to safety. Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment is an advantage.
