A sales representative promotes and sells products or services to new and existing customers while building long-term business relationships.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Prospecting: Find new potential clients using cold calls, emails, networking, and research. Product Presentations: Demonstrate how products or services solve customer problems. Negotiation and Closing: Discuss prices, contract terms, and payment options to finalize deals. Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed regular sales targets set by the company, usually on a monthly or quarterly basis. Customer Relationship Management: Follow up with clients after a sale, answer questions, and resolve complaints. Market Research: Monitor competitor activities and track industry trends. Sales Reporting: Record customer interactions, updates, and sales data in a CRM software and prepare progress reports.
