Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers  Job Description

We are recruiting experienced professionals who are passionate about excellence, technology, quality, customer experience and building efficient healthcare systems from the ground up. The Cashier will manage patient and client payments accurately and securely through cash, POS and bank transfers while ensuring that daily collections are completely accounted for and properly remitted.

Key responsibilities include

Receive payments from patients and clients through POS and bank transfers. Issue appropriate receipts and payment documentation. Confirm electronic payments before acknowledging transactions as paid. Accurately record all daily collections. Reconcile POS transactions and bank-transfer collections at the end of each working day. Balance the day's collections against receipts and system records. Investigate and report payment discrepancies immediately. Remit collections according to approved financial-control procedures. Maintain accurate records. Support reconciliation of patient bills and payments. Liaise with Front Desk, Accounts and other departments to resolve payment-related issues. Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and patient information. Follow approved POS and financial-control procedures. Prevent unauthorised discounts, refunds or alterations to payment records. Prepare daily cashier reports for Finance. Escalate suspected fraudulent or irregular transactions immediately.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. 1–2 years' post-NYSC experience in cashiering, accounting, receivables or financial operations. Experience in amedical laboratory, clinic, hospital or pharmacy is an advantage. Experience handling POS and electronic transfers is required. Basic accounting and reconciliation experience is required.


Skills Set:

Strong numerical and reconciliation skills. Excellent attention to details. Experience using POS terminals. Ability to verify bank transfers and electronic payments. Good knowledge of basic accounting principles. Ability to use Excel and accounting/payment software. Strong integrity and trustworthiness. Good customer-service skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure. Good record-keeping skills. Ability to identify payment discrepancies quickly.


Benefits

Salary: N150,000 monthly. HMO and Pension applicable.
