Transport Supervisor

Job Responsibilities -


Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality or quantity.
Day-to-Day Management - To ensure daily / weekly plans are made and achieved for transport movement and other support operations with minimum or zero deviation.
To have regular input on transport freights and other related information to plan your costings accordingly.
To supervise on consumption of diesel, log book and movement of drivers and vehicles.
To ensure necessary documents before loading and offloading.
To communicate within departments for planning, administrative and other general management issues, which will include the day-to-day operations and timely dispatch strategy.
Customer Relationships - To develop good network of transporters to ensure timely vehicles and get best prices and services.


Reporting - To prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.

JOB REQUIREMENT


HND/Bachelors Degree
Relevant experience of a minimum of 5 years would be needed.
 Must have managed fleet operations of a minimum of 50 commercial vehicles in some manufacturing or transport company.
Well-versed with MS Excel.
As per the need of the business the job is transferrable and posting can be made anywhere in Nigeria/West Africa.
