Responsibilities


To ensure technical management of the OSV fleet on behalf of the ship managers.
To contribute to technical standards improvement.
To ensure proper delivery and integration of new built vessels in the fleet.
To manage and maintain a fleet of vessels, on a routine basis (OPEX) or during planned maintenance periods (CAPEX), in safe and reliable conditions for continuous utilization as per her designed capacity and efficiency.
Ensure and Lead Safe applications of company safety policy and QHSE Culture onboard your assigned vessels.
Responsible to manage OPEX/CAPEX budget for assigned vessels though maintenance, aiming to optimize technical vessel availability rate.
Ensure the technical management of a fleet composed of several vessels in a cost disciplined manner.
Validate purchasing requisition and orders related to parts services and supplies.
Interface with the classification societies concerning the ships for which you are responsible :-  Annual surveys, certificates, Class status reports, etc.
Coordinate, monitor and ensure accurate update of task Assistant (TA) between vessels and shore effective use of computerized maintenance management system -(CMMS)
Performing cost effective, safe, efficient and high quality repairs according to class requirements
Responsible for technical reporting on out of order, ensuring documented feedback (UPMP/PMP/UJ reports) on maintenance activities to Technical, Vessel, Contract managers and PNL Mgt.
Prepare and monitor  scheduled and negotiating local repair contracts for unscheduled technical repairs (UPMP).
Responsible for taking in new vessels and ensuring a proper handover.
Responsible for proper handover during vessel transfer between ship-managers.
Responsible for managing Chief Engineers and ensuring their Annual appraisal, Competency and Career path development.
Regularly visit the vessels assigned to you (on/offshore).
Carry out technical inspections Vessel Technical Inspections (VTI), Electrical survey inspections.
Prepare vessel for drydock within the vessel’s drydocking window.


Desired Skills and Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
A Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 1 or 2 is strongly preferred.
Additional certifications in ISM Code, ISPS, MLC, and DP systems (where applicable) are advantageous.
Professional training in Dry Docking, Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), or Safety Management Systems is a plus.
