Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and technically aware Technical Driver to support the transportation of service technicians, tools, equipment, and materials to customer locations.
The successful candidate must have good driving skills, basic technical knowledge, and the ability to support field service operations while ensuring the safe and timely movement of personnel and equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafely transport service technicians, tools, spare parts, and equipment to customer sites and other designated locations.
Ensure timely movement of personnel and materials to support installation, maintenance, repairs, and other technical service activities.
Assist with loading, unloading, handling, and securing tools and equipment during transportation.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
Report vehicle faults, maintenance needs, accidents, or incidents promptly.
Support technicians with basic on-site activities when required, including handling tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate vehicle movement records, trip logs, and relevant documentation.
Comply with traffic regulations, company driving policies, and health and safety requirements.
Perform other operational duties related to field service support as assigned.
RequirementsMinimum of SSCE or relevant technical qualification.
3–5 years' experience as a professional driver, preferably supporting technical, engineering, logistics, or field service operations.
Must possess a valid driver's licence and be competent in driving manual transmission vehicles.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to handle and secure technical tools, equipment, and spare parts safely.
Good knowledge of Lagos roads and routes.
Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading equipment when required.
Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel to customer locations and undertake assignments outside Lagos when required.
