Reports to: Operations Manager / Management Job Summary

The Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating and monitoring security personnel to ensure effective protection of clients’ properties, lives and assets. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, discipline, integrity and the ability to manage security operations professionally.

Supervise, coordinate and monitor security guards deployed to various client locations. Ensure that all security personnel report to duty punctually and are properly dressed in approved uniforms. Prepare and monitor duty rosters, shift schedules and attendance records. Conduct regular and unannounced inspections of security posts. Ensure guards comply strictly with company rules, regulations and operational procedures. Monitor the performance, discipline and conduct of security personnel. Ensure proper access control and prevent unauthorised entry into clients’ premises. Investigate security incidents, breaches, misconduct and complaints, and submit detailed reports to management. Ensure proper handover and takeover between outgoing and incoming guards. Maintain effective communication with clients and address security-related concerns professionally. Identify security risks and recommend appropriate preventive measures. Conduct routine briefings and on-the-job training for security personnel. Ensure that all security equipment and operational materials are properly maintained. Report absenteeism, negligence, misconduct and suspicious activities immediately to management. Ensure that all guards adhere to confidentiality, professionalism and ethical standards. Perform any other operational duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of OND, HND or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in security supervision or security operations. Experience in private security services will be an added advantage. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records. Good knowledge of access control and security procedures. Must be physically fit, disciplined and responsible. Must be willing to work flexible hours and conduct field inspections. Must reside in Uyo or its surrounding areas.

Effective supervision of deployed security personnel. Reduction in absenteeism and security breaches. Compliance with duty schedules and company procedures. Prompt reporting and resolution of security incidents. Client satisfaction and professional conduct of guards.
