Retail Development Executive

Position Overview


We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Field/Retail Sales Representative to drive growth and expand our retail presence throughout Port Harcourt. This role involves identifying and onboarding new retail outlets, maintaining strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring product availability, and executing in-store promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and sales performance.


Primary Responsibilities


Identify, engage, and onboard new retail outlets within the assigned territory.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing outlet partners to foster loyalty and repeat business.
Ensure timely supply, replenishment, and visibility of products at all points of sale.
Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets and market coverage objectives.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor outlet performance, address issues, and provide training on product knowledge and merchandising standards.
Monitor inventory levels, analyze competitor activity, and gather customer feedback to inform sales and marketing strategies.
Execute trade activations, in-store promotions, and brand display initiatives in line with marketing directives.
Accurately complete and submit daily and weekly field reports using designated reporting tools.


Qualifications


OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in field sales or retail distribution—experience in the FMCG or beauty industry is highly advantageous.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Port Harcourt retail landscape and familiarity with existing distributor and beauty retail networks.
Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve targets and work independently.
Proficiency in using mobile CRM tools or sales reporting apps is considered an asset.
