Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

Location: Anambra

Description

  • The Restaurant Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth service delivery, customer satisfaction, and adherence to quality and hygiene standards.
  • The role involves supervising staff, managing schedules, monitoring food service and kitchen activities, and ensuring that all guests enjoy a positive dining experienc
  • The ideal candidate will be organized, service-oriented, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities
Operations and Service Supervision:

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient and consistent service.
  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate front-of-house and kitchen activities for seamless operation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Staff Supervision and Training:

  • Assign tasks and monitor staff performance during shifts.
  • Train and coach team members on service standards, customer care, and hygiene practices.
  • Manage shift schedules, attendance, and staff deployment to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Motivate and discipline staff as necessary, maintaining high morale and teamwork.

Inventory and Cost Control:

  • Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies, initiating restocking as required.
  • Reduce waste and manage portion control to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Assist in inventory counts and reporting.

Customer Service and Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Handle reservations, special requests, and VIP guests efficiently.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of restaurant policies and procedures.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare daily reports on sales, staff performance, and operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, incidents, and maintenance needs.
  • Assist management in developing and implementing operational improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:

  • Minimum of an OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Food Safety or Hospitality Management is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in customer service and team management.

Skills
Operational and Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Customer Service and Communication:

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with problem-solving abilities.

Financial and Analytical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of restaurant budgeting, sales reporting, and cost control.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and recommend improvements.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Good knowledge of food hygiene, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to enforce cleanliness and compliance standards consistently.

Teamwork and Adaptability:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and during peak hours.
