Location: Port Harcourt - Rivers Job Summary

The QA/QC Civil Inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and verifying all civil and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality procedures, applicable standards, and client requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, witnessing tests, verifying material compliance, identifying non-conformities, maintaining quality records, and supporting project handover activities to ensure that all civil works are executed to the required quality standards

Job Details

Ensure civil and structural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and applicable standards. Verify compliance of construction materials with approved material specifications and project requirements. Conduct routine inspections, surveillance, and monitoring of civil construction activities. Witness and verify field testing activities and ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Monitor workmanship and quality performance throughout project execution. Identify, document, and report non-conformities, defects, and quality deviations. Track and verify implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from quality issues. Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, reports, and quality documentation to ensure traceability. Interface with construction, survey, engineering, subcontractor, and client representatives on quality-related matters. Support project close-out, punch listing, final inspections, and handover activities. Participate in quality audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

HND/B.Eng. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline 3–5 years' experience in QA/QC inspection of civil and structural works.  Experience in construction quality control, material verification, inspection and testing activities.  Familiarity with applicable codes and standards such as ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO, and project specifications.
