Job Description

We seek a qualified and committed Economics Teacher to join our academic team. The teacher will help students understand economic principles, financial literacy, and how economies work at local and global levels.

Responsibilities

Teach topics in Economics
Prepare and deliver clear and engaging lessons
Give classwork, assignments, tests, and exams
Help students understand both theory and real-life applications of economics
Monitor and record students’ academic progress.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Education, or a related field
TRCN certification or proof of registration is an advantage
At least 3 years of teaching experience in Economics
Experience preparing students for WAEC/NECO is required
Being a WAEC/NECO examiner is an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

Must be passionate about teaching and student growth
Must be available to resume at the start of the new academic term
Must be willing to follow school policies and contribute to student formation.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of Economics and the ability to explain it simply
Good communication and classroom management skills
Ability to relate economic concepts to everyday life
Organised and able to plan lessons ahead
Patient, approachable, and able to motivate students.
