The Driver will be responsible for providing reliable and safe driving services to staff, ensuring the proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle, and adhering to all traffic regulations and organisational procedures. The role requires punctuality, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Safely operate assigned vehicles for official duties, errands, or transportation of staff and guests. Ensure the vehicle is always clean, in good working condition, and regularly maintained. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle’s oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, and other components before use. Maintain a logbook for daily trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle servicing records. Adhere to all road safety laws and traffic regulations. Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to the appropriate authority. Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or materials as required. Ensure that all assigned routes are planned and followed to ensure timely arrivals. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all assignments and interactions. Perform other driving or administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor

A Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) holder. A valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class B or higher). Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate or structured setting. Proven knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving skills. Experience in basic vehicle maintenance is an added advantage

Excellent knowledge of road networks and routes. Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and punctuality. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Physically fit and able to work long or irregular hours when necessary. Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation tools is an added advantage. Neat personal appearance and professional conduct. Ability to remain calm under pressure and in emergency situations. Should live within close proximity to the University
